02/12/2019 (Pakistan) - According to local media sources on Tuesday, 12 February, there are renewed protests in Muzaffarabad City and other areas of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir region against the Pakistan Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency. The protests follow a rally held on Monday, organised by the Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF) to condemn acts of violence on citizens at the hands of the Pakistan Army. There are reports that police have used tear gas against the protesting students. Further information is awaited.

Members in Muzaffarabad City and the greater Azad Kashmir territory should avoid the vicinity of any demonstrations in order to lessen the chances of being affected by incidental violence and police operations. Members should monitor local media sources for further information on planned and spontaneous protests and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
