Metro Workers to Strike in Lisbon on 6 November

10/21/2018 (Portugal) - The Lisbon underground workers will go on strike on Tuesday, 6 November to demand a salary increase. The strike is the second one called by the Federation of Transport and Communications Unions (FECTRANS) within a month. The industrial action is set to coincide with the Web Summit 2018, held between Sunday, 4 November and Thursday, 8 November, which will take place at the Lisbon's Altice Arena.

Members planning to transit through the Lisbon Metro are advised to reassess their travel plans and allow extra time for disruption. Travellers should heed all directives issued by local authorities and monitor local media sources for information regarding the restoration of operations.
