Separation Day Celebrations on 4 November; Traffic Disruptions Expected

10/21/2018 (Panama) - Panama will celebrate its 115th anniversary of separation from Colombia on Sunday, 4 November. The country marks the occasion with ceremonies and activities nationwide, such as festivals and parades. The largest parade will be held in Panama City starting at 0930hrs (0430 UTC) at Simon Bolivar Park and it will march towards Cinta Costera 3. Heightened security measures and traffic disruptions are expected throughout the country.

Members should plan any journey in advance in order to minimise disruption on the day, and ensure they have enough supplies as many businesses will be shut down. Heed any directives given by the authorities.
