10/21/2018 (Cameroon) - Media sources report that there is likely to be an increased security presence in Douala on Sunday, 21 October for a Pro-Anglophone rally planned by the main opposition party, the Social Democratic Front (SDF). Reports indicate that the rally is set to start at 1300hrs (1200 UTC) at the Esplanade du Stade Omnisport de Bepanda. The rally is going to be followed by a march to the Salle de Fetes d'Akawa. The rally is to show solidarity to the populations of the Northwest and Southwest regions, which are affected by the current Anglophone crisis.

Members in Doula are advised to avoid the vicinity of protests and demonstrations in order to mitigate the risk of exposure to unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime and police crowd control measures. Members should monitor local media sources for further information and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
