10/20/2018 (Honduras) - Emerging social media feeds report on Friday, 19 October that at least eight people died following a shootout in the Tegucigalpa's El Carrizal district. Unconfirmed reports state the unidentified gunmen opened fire people in a pub where the victims were. The motive of the attack remains unknown at this time. Security forces and emergency services have been dispatched on the site of the incident.
Travellers are advised to ensure that all travel within Honduras is subjected to comprehensive security risk management protocols.
