10/20/2018 (France) - Members of more than 30 civil rights organisations are expected to participate in a rally against homophobia, discrimination and gender-based violence in Paris on Sunday, 21 October. The rally is being led by the groups SOSHomophobia and Inter-LGBT and is planned to begin at 1700hrs (1500 UTC) at Place de la Republique. A heightened security presence and localised traffic disruption are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration site.

Members in Paris are advised to avoid the vicinity of the rally in order to limit the risk of exposure to unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime, and police crowd control operations. Members conducting overland travel should avoid the area around the demonstration site due to anticipated localised traffic disruption. Monitor local media sources for further information on the protest and any associated disruptions.
