10/19/2018 (Kyrgyz Republic) - According to local media reports, the Department of Internal Affairs of Osh region announced on Thursday, 18 October that a weapons cache had been discovered in Uzgen district. The cache is reported to have contained weapons, explosives and ammunition which had been prepared for use in terrorist acts. No further details regarding who the cache belonged to have been released.
Members in Osh region are advised to maintain a heightened level of vigilance and should anticipate an increased security presence in the region. Monitor local media for further updates and adhere to any directives issued by local authorities.
