Fatalities following Flash Floods in Kasserine Governorate

10/17/2018 (Tunisia) - According to local media sources on Wednesday, 17 October, there is flash flooding being reported in Kasserine Governorate. Unconfirmed reports state that two people have died in the Feriana and Sbiba areas of the governorate. Heavy rain has caused the flash floods, which are forecast to continue through the night into Thursday, 18 October. Military units have been called in to assist with rescue operations.

Members in Kasserine Governorate are advised to monitor local media for weather and travel-related updates due to the flash flood conditions. Maintain extra caution and vigilance if travelling overland and be aware of debris, landslides, and other associated risks. Heed any directives given by the authorities.
