Policemen Injured after Anarchists Attack Police Station in Omania Square, Athens

10/16/2018 (Greece) - Local media sources report that four policemen have been injured on Monday, 15 October, after suspected anarchists hurled petrol bombs at a police station in Omania Square, Athens. Additionally, the attack caused damage to the outside of the police station, as well as five parked cars and three patrol vehicles. The assailants hurled around 40 home-made petrol bombs before reportedly escaping towards Exarchia district. No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack. Anarchist groups frequently target police and banks in the Greek capital.

Members in Athens should monitor local media sources to remain apprised of any security operations in their particular area and heed any directives issued by police and local authorities.
