10/16/2018 (France) - Brazilian political activists will gather Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad in Paris' 19th arrondissement on Saturday, 20 October from 1500hrs to 1800hrs (1300 UTC - 1600 UTC) to show their opposition to Jair Bolsonaro, the far-right presidential candidate to the ongoing Brazilian general election, and denounce trivialization of hate speech and the criminalization of social movements in Brazil. The rally is organised by the France Latin America (FAL) and Other Brazils (AB) activist organisations as well as by the left-leaning political organisation Friends of the Landless Movement (AMST). The gathering is intended to be peaceful but incidental disturbances such as opportunistic crimes and localised overland disruption cannot be ruled out.

Members are advised to remain vigilant in the vicinity of large crowds due to the risk of exposure to opportunistic crime. Monitor local media sources for updates, and possible travel disruption.
