Tractor Driver Shot by Police in Ankara

10/16/2018 (Turkey) - According to local media sources on Tuesday, 16 October, a tractor driver was shot by police after failing to stop near the Grand National Assembly of Turkey located on Ataturk Boulevard in Ankara. Reports indicate that the driver was heading to the Israeli Embassy in order to carry out an attack and cause damage to the building. Five vehicles have been damaged by the tractor. The suspect has now been detained. Operations by police and emergency services are ongoing.
