10/16/2018 (Morocco) - Local media sources report on Tuesday, 16 October, that emergency operations are currently ongoing in Sale following a train incident. According to local correspondents, 10 people have been killed and more than 90 injured. The accident took place near the Bouknadel Bridge in Sale and involved a commuting train operated by the Moroccan National Railways Operator (ONCF), heading to Kenitra from Casablanca. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.

Those in Sale should avoid the vicinity of the operations by the emergency services and should monitor local media sources for any further information. Travellers should anticipate traffic disruption in the immediate term and amend their itineraries accordingly.
