06/23/2018 (Ethiopia) - According to emerging social media reports on Saturday, 23 June, an explosion has occurred at a rally in Meskel Square, Addis Ababa at which Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was speaking. Early reports suggest that the explosion was caused by a grenade and a limited number of people were injured. The prime minister is reportedly uninjured. Further information is awaited.
