06/23/2018 (Palestinian Territories/ West Bank and Gaza Strip) - According to media sources, hundreds of Palestinians took part in protests across the Gaza Strip on Friday, 22 June. This is reportedly the 13th consecutive Friday on which protesters have gathered under the "Great March of Return" banner. Demonstrators gathered in five different locations in eastern Gaza. They burned tyres, released flaming balloons and kites into Israel and clashed with Israeli soldiers. Local media and radio stations reported that dozens of Palestinians suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, whilst six were reportedly injured by live ammunition.

Members in Israel and the Palestinian Territories are advised to remain extremely vigilant amid the heightened tensions and ongoing unrest, immediately reporting any suspicious activity to authorities. If a planned or spontaneous protest or gathering occurs in a member's area of operations, members should seek to vacate the area immediately.
