06/22/2018 (Canada) - According to the United States Department of State, demonstrations will be staged on Friday, 22 June, by various human rights groups in the vicinity of the US Consulate in Montreal. Protesters will gather near the consulate, located at 1155 rue St. Alexandre at 1500hrs (1100 UTC). There will be a heightened security presence in the area. The political gathering comes in response to recent reports regarding the forced separation of migrant families at the border between the United States and Mexico.

Members in Montreal are advised to remain clear of any demonstration or political gathering in order to avoid unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime, and police crowd control operations. Members are further advised to anticipate localised overland travel disruptions. Monitor local sources for further updates.
