06/22/2018 (Jamaica) - The Jamaica Constabulary Force has imposed a curfew in sections of the Annotto Bay area in St Mary Parish. The curfew began on Wednesday, 20 June and will remain in effect until 0600hrs (1100 UTC) on Friday, 22 June. The restrictions are in place between Gray's Inn to the west of Annotto Bay and the junction of Enfield Main Road in the east. During the curfew, those within the boundary are instructed to stay indoors unless authorised by local security services. The restrictions have been imposed following a surge of violent criminal activity in the area. Further security operations are expected across Annotto Bay in the coming days and the curfew may be extended.

Members in Annotto Bay should comply with the imposed curfew; those in the wider St Mary Parish are advised to avoid the vicinity of Annotto Bay due to ongoing security operations in the area. Members in the affected area are advised to remain vigilant due to the risk of violent crime and ongoing security operations. Travellers should monitor local media sources for further information on the restrictions and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
