06/17/2018 (Kazakhstan) - According to local media sources on Sunday, 17 June, a passenger train derailed on its way from the capital Astana to Almaty in the south of the country. Reports indicate that one person has been killed and three people have been injured following the derailment. Emergency operations are currently underway in order to restore regular railway traffic.
