05/23/2018 (Spain) - International media sources reported on Tuesday, 22 May, that two workmen are missing and two others have been injured after a structure collapsed at a construction site at 19 Calle General Martinez Campo in Madrid. The upper floors of the building collapsed at approximately 1630hrs (1430 UTC) while works were undergoing with 20 workmen on site. Emergency services rushed on site and the area was cordoned off to conduct rescue operations and remove the debris. Surrounding offices and residential buildings were evacuated as a preventative measure. Emergency operations were still ongoing overnight which is likely to result in traffic disruption in the Camberi district of Madrid on Wednesday morning.

Members in Madrid should minimise travel to the area to avoid disruption. Any personnel in the area should anticipate delays around the accident site and amend travel plans accordingly.
