05/22/2018 (Burkina Faso) - Emerging social media feeds are reporting that on Tuesday, 22 May, a shootout between security forces and unidentified gunmen is currently ongoing in the Ouagadougou's Rayongo district which is located in the 11th arrondissement of the capital. It is reported that exchanges of gunfire have started at approximately 0300hrs (0200 UTC) and were still ongoing at 0700hrs (0600 UTC). Further updates on the situation are awaited.
