05/22/2018 (Pakistan) - On Tuesday, 22 May, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) issued updated travel advice warning that extremists may look to carry out attacks in the Dir and Chitral districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Reports suggest that extremists may be planning to target foreign nationals in any such attacks.

Those in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa can expect heightened security measures in the province in coming days, particularly in the Dir and Chitral areas, and should follow all instructions issued by security forces. Members operating in and travelling to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa should ensure that security measures commensurate with existing threat levels are in place. Any suspicious object, package, person or activity should immediately be reported to relevant authorities.
