05/22/2018 (Nigeria) - According to emerging reports from social media feeds on Tuesday, 22 May, a fuel tanker caught fire in Younis Bashorun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. There have been no casualties reported at this moment. Several cars parked in the proximity of the tanker were set alite and are currently burning. Emergency operations and investigations are ongoing. Travel disruption and heavy traffic may occur in the area.

Travellers in country are advised to remain clear of the area in the medium term due to ongoing investigations and resultant travel disruption. Monitor local media sources for further information.
