Several People Arrested in Anti-Narcotics Operation in Amman; Drugs and Weapons Seized

05/21/2018 (Jordan) - Local media sources report that on Monday, 21 May, security forces carried out an anti-drug operation in Amman. A least nine people have been arrested. Drugs, bulletproof jackets, pistols, ammunition and several items, such as drug fabrication material, cash, phones, have been seized. Further information is awaited.
In-country personnel are advised to report any suspicious persons, items or activity. Members should monitor local media sources to remain apprised of any security operations in their particular area and heed any directives issued by police and local authorities.
