Saudi Warplanes Conduct Airstrikes in Nehm district, Sanaa Province

05/20/2018 (Yemen) - According to a report by regional monitors on Sunday, 20 May, the Saudi Arabian Air Force has launched a series of airstrikes in Nehm district of Sanaa province. The strikes, which targeted buildings in the al-Madfon area, are thought to have killed a number of residents and caused damage to surrounding streets. The strikes are the latest reported bombings since last week when Saudi jets targeted the al-Tahriar district in the centre of the capital Sanaa, which killed six citizens and injured nine others.
Due to the ongoing conflict and extreme risk environment, clients should reconsider all non-essential travel to Yemen at this time. Operationally-critical travel should only take place with maximum security provision and movements outside secure compounds should only be conducted after a thorough localised risk assessment.
