05/20/2018 (Morocco) - According to local media sources on Sunday, 20 May, at least one student was killed and several others injured during clashes between supporters of the Democratic and Social Movement and those of the Amazigh Moroccan Democratic Party at Ibn Zohr University, located in the city of Agadir. Reports indicate that one group of students prevented another from entering the campus grounds and taking exams following which a fight broke out. Further unrest is likely.
Those in Agadir should avoid the vicinity of the university due to the possibility of further violence and unrest. Travellers should monitor local media sources for any further information.
