Several Injured Following Landslide in Quito

05/19/2018 (Ecuador) - According to local media sources on Saturday, 19 May, at least three people have been injured after a landslide blocked a road in the area of La Loma Puengasi in the city of Quito. It is not yet clear what conditions the injured are in or if they have been hospitalised. Emergency services are conducting operations in the area and a part of the road is still blocked by the debris.

Those in Quito should avoid the vicinity of the incident due to ongoing operations and the possibility of further landslides and should amend their itineraries accordingly. Embers should monitor local media sources for any further information.
