05/19/2018 (Cameroon) - On Sunday, 20 May, Cameroon will celebrate its National Unity Day with a parade in Yaounde. The parade will take place on the Boulevard du 20 Mai. Further celebratory events are anticipated nationwide. Additional security checkpoints and travel disruption should be expected, particularly in the Northwest and Southwest regions.
Those in Yaounde and other urban centres are advised to allocate extra time to their journeys in order to maintain travel continuity. Remain clear of any political gathering in order to mitigate against opportunistic crime and unruly crowd behaviour. Monitor local sources for further information.
