02/23/2018 (Belgium) - Thousands of activists from various civic organisations are expected to gather at Bruxelles-Nord railway station on Sunday, 25 February, to protest the government's anti-immigration policy. Participants are scheduled to gather near the station from 1400hrs (1300 UTC) before marching towards Maximilien Park. The event, dubbed 'The Human Wave for Solidarity and Humanity', has been organised by the Citizen's Refugee Support Platform and the Coordination of Undocumented Migrants in Belgium. Previous demonstrations held by the organisations in Maximilien Park in January attracted up to 8,000 people.

Clients in Brussels on Sunday, 25 February, are advised to remain clear of the aforementioned areas during the protest and remain vigilant in the vicinity of large crowds. Though the event is expected to remain largely peaceful, a heavy security presence and significant travel disruption are likely.
