Several Injured Following Train Truck Collision in Harju County

02/20/2018 (Estonia) - According to local media sources on Tuesday, nine people have been injured after a train collided with a lorry near the town of Kulna in Harju County. The train was on its way from the town of Riisipere to the capital Tallinn. Two of the injured were the train and truck drivers and the rest were six passengers and one conductor. All of those injured have been hospitalised. Maintenance operations are ongoing at the site and there is disruption to the rail network. Substitute buses are currently ferrying passengers.

Those in Harju area advised to avoid the vicinity of the incident due to ongoing operations. Those intending to travel via the country's rail network should anticipate disruption in the immediate future and amend their itineraries accordingly.
