02/20/2018 (Paraguay) - According to local media sources on Tuesday, 20 March, taxi drivers have planned demonstrations in Asuncion and other urban centres across the country for tomorrow. Protests will be held against the arrival of Uber into Paraguay.
Clients in Asuncion and other major urban centres should avoid the protests and monitor local media sources for any further information on the protest route. Those travelling within Paraguay should anticipate traffic disruption, both overland and on the metro as residents switch to alternative means of transportation, and amend their itineraries accordingly.
