Vehicle and Property Damaged Following Explosion in Bihac

02/19/2018 (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - According to local media sources on Monday, 19 February, at approximately 0500hrs (0400UTC) an improvised explosive device (IED) placed underneath a vehicle exploded resulting in damage to the car and a nearby private residence located in the suburb of Middzic Mahala in the city of Bihac. Reports indicate that there have not been any injuries or fatalities due to the explosion. Local security forces are currently conducting operations on the scene.
Those in Bihac should avoid the vicinity of the incident due to ongoing security operations. Exercise a heightened level of vigilance and immediately report any suspicious items or activity to security forces. Travellers are advised to monitor local media sources and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
