Flights Cancelled at Manas International Airport (FRU) in Bishkek amid Snowstorm

02/16/2018 (Kyrgyz Republic) - According to local media reports on Friday, 16 February, flights to and from Manas International Airport (FRU) in Bishkek have been cancelled due to a snowstorm. The heavy snow and strong winds seen in the country in recent days have reportedly caused hazardous conditions for takeoff and landing. It is not yet known when the airport will resume normal operations.
Those travelling via FRU are advised to contact their flight provider ahead of departure to ascertain the status of their journeys. Those undertaking overland travel in Bishkek should proceed with caution due to hazardous driving conditions. Clients are further advised to monitor any possible deterioration of weather conditions through local media outlets.
