02/16/2018 (Israel) - According to emerging social media feeds on Friday, 16 February, around 1,000 people have gathered at Habima Square in Tel Aviv at 1200hrs (1000 UTC). Protests come a few days after Israeli police authorities advised to indict incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following accusations of corruption and embezzlement.

Clients in Israel are advised to avoid the vicinity of any political gatherings and demonstrations in order to limit exposure to incidental violence and security operations. Travellers should monitor local media sources for further information and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
