02/14/2018 (Indonesia) - According to international sources on Wednesday, 14 February, tens of thousands of Chinese residents are expected to travel countrywide as they reunite with their relatives for the Chinese New Year, due on Friday, 16 February. Major urban centres including Bali and Jakarta are likely to experience intense travel disruption as celebratory events take place.

Clients in-country are advised to anticipate travel disruption in the vicinity of transportation hubs and urban centres countrywide as the date of Chinese New Year nears. Travellers should expect an increased security presence in the vicinity of events and celebrations in major cities.
