Multiple Demonstrations Planned in Bilbao, 21-22 February

02/14/2018 (Spain) - According to local sources on Wednesday, 14 February, several demonstrations have been organised in Bilbao on 21 and 22 February. On Wednesday, 21 February, anti-fascist groups will hold a march starting in the Moyua area at 2000hrs (1900 UTC). On Thursday, 22 February, pensioners will hold demonstrations starting at the city hall at 1200hrs (1100 UTC) and later march towards Gran Via. Travel disruption is likely.
Clients are advised to remain clear of any political gathering in order to mitigate against unruly crowd behaviour. Those in Bilbao should expect localised overland travel disruption in the vicinity of the aforementioned areas due to large political gatherings and increased security presence.
