02/13/2018 (United States) - According to social media sources on Monday, 12 February, thousands of people are marching from Clayborn Temple to City Hall in Memphis, Tennessee, to demand a higher minimum wage. The protest occurs on the 50th anniversary of the historic Memphis sanitation workers' strike. Social media images show a large body of protesters blocking traffic along the route.

Clients in Memphis area advised to avoid the vicinity of the march due to ongoing travel disruptions. Travellers are advised to avoid all political protests to mitigate against incidental violence, opportunistic crime and a possible heavy-handed police response.
