01/19/2018 (Lebanon) - According to national media reports on Friday, 19 January, overnight storms combined with torrential downpours have led to small floods and damage across Lebanon. The severe weather caused billboards to be blown over, littering streets with rubble as well as closing several sea ports. However, it is understood the ports are re-establishing normal operation.
Clients are advised to monitor local media sources for weather-related updates and to remain apprised of disruption and warnings in their particular area of operations. Travellers should heed any directives issued by local authorities and exercise a heightened degree of caution in flood-affected areas if driving due to possible hazardous conditions caused by debris. If making use of port services it is advised to contact the authority before travelling.
