Trabzon Airport Closed Due To Maintenance

01/18/2018 (Turkey) - According to local media sources on Thursday, 18 January, the Trabzon Airport (TZX) has been closed due to ongoing efforts to remove a plane which skidded off the runway and currently rests on a cliff. TZX was shut off to air traffic for 24 hours from Thursday 18 January 0400 hrs (0100 UTC) until Friday, 19 January 0400 hrs (0100 UTC).

Clients travelling via TZX are advised to contact their airline prior to travel to ascertain the status of their flights. Travellers should monitor local media sources for further updates on any associated travel disruption and heed any directives issued by local authorities.
