Fatalities Reported Following Attacks in Benue State

01/18/2018 (Nigeria) - According to local media sources on Wednesday, 17 January, four people have been killed in two separate incidents by unknown gunmen in Logo and Guma Local Government Areas of Benue State. Local authorities have stated that two people were been killed in each attack and that they were carried out by suspected herdsmen. Currently, operations by the local security forces are ongoing in the aforementioned areas as well as others in Benue state.
Clients in the area are advised to remain highly vigilant and report any suspicious item or activity to the local authorities. Those with operationally critical requirements in Benue State should conduct a thorough localised threat assessment and ensure that all travel is undertaken in coordination with local security forces and a trusted private security provider.
