01/17/2018 (Saudi Arabia) - According to national news sources, the Saudi Arabian Air Force has struck Houthi missile launch bases along the Saudi Arabian border on the night of Tuesday, 16 January, although the exact location was not disclosed. Meanwhile, Saudi air defence forces intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile targeting the port of Jazan earlier that Tuesday.

Due to the ongoing conflict and extreme risk environment, clients should reconsider all non-essential travel to the border region. Those in the area should minimise non-essential movement outside of secure compounds and only travel with maximum security precautions in place. Prior to deployment, or as part of any pre-operational decision-making, clients are advised to conduct a thorough localised risk assessment to identify any potential threats to operations and staff safety.
