01/15/2018 (United Arab Emirates) - According to local media sources on Monday, 15 January, at least 120 flights have been delayed or cancelled at Abu Dhabi (AUH), Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ) international airports due to heavy fog. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of reduced visibility of up to 100m in certain areas. Dubai police have urged motorists to be cautious due to foggy conditions, which have caused accidents on Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Emirates Road and Shaikh Zayed road.

Those in the UAE should stay abreast of the latest related developments, and reconfirm travel plans to minimise possible disruption to itineraries due to the foggy weather conditions. Motorists should exercise additional caution due to low visibility along local roads. Those with flights via plans DXB, AUH and SHJ should confirm the status of their flights by contacting their airline directly.
