Dozens Injured following Collapse of Walkway at Indonesia Stock Exchange in Jakarta

01/15/2018 (Indonesia) - According to regional media outlets on Monday, 15 January, at least 70 people have been injured after a walkway at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) building in Jakarta collapsed. The walkway is located above the main lobby of the building, linking Tower 1 and Tower 2 of the IDX, and is near to where visitors are screened and checked before entering. The cause of the collapse is not yet known, but police said it was not due to an explosion. Localised overland travel disruption is reported in the area due to search and salvage operations.

Those within Jakarta are advised to avoid the vicinity of the aforementioned are whilst emergency operations are ongoing. Clients are further advised to anticipate overland travel disruptions and revise journey plans accordingly.
