01/15/2018 (Nigeria) - According to emerging reports from social media feeds on Monday, 15 January, a large fire has broken out at the Magodo Second Coming Gas Station in the Ikosi Ketu area of Lagos. Emergency services are currently on the scene to tackle the blaze, which has reportedly claimed one life. Unconfirmed reports indicate the fire was caused by a blast. Motorists are advised to avoid the area in the immediate term.

Clients in Lagos are advised to remain well clear of the Ikosi Ketu area and closely monitor local sources for further updates. Those in the vicinity of the site should remain indoors as toxic fumes are likely to result from the blast. Travel disruption may occur in the vicinity of the gas station as a result of the emergency operations.
