Campesino Political Movement Demonstrates in Queretaro City after Police Dismantles Group Camp

01/14/2018 (Mexico) - According to local media reports on Saturday, 13 January, hundreds of farmers from the "Antorchista Movement" are demonstrating in the vicinity of Plaza de Armas area in Queretaro City after police forces yesterday evicted hundreds from a camp in a nearby area of the city. At least one member of the campesino group was arrested by the security forces.
Those in Queretaro City should exercise a heightened level of caution if travelling in the aforementioned area. Those with operations in the region are advised to monitor local media sources for further updates on the local security situation and any associated protests.
