Culprits behind Synagogue Attack and Unrest Arrested in Kef Governorate

01/13/2018 (Tunisia) - According to local media sources on Saturday, 13 January, police have arrested three culprits in Kef governorate, suspected of attempting to set fire to a synagogue in Djerba on Thursday. It is indicated that the Synagogue of Rabbi Abraham and Rabbi Beitsalel in the Hara neighbourhood of Djerba was attacked during a wave of unrest. The arrested individuals are also suspected of attacking public property, ransacking, and blocking roads.
Those in-country are advised to monitor local media sources for further updates on the protest and potential ongoing police activity in their particular area of operations.
