01/13/2018 (Czech Republic) - According to local media sources on Saturday, 13 January, at least three people were killed and 45 sustained injuries following a head-on collision between a bus and a vehicle in the Horomerice area of Prague. The bus, which was travelling between Holunice and Prague, reportedly veered off the road following the collision and struck a tree, trapping multiple passengers. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.

Overland travel in the Czech Republic is generally considered to be low risk. The main highways are generally in good condition, although secondary roads can be poorly maintained. Poor local driving habits, including speeding and drunk driving, also have a negative impact on driving conditions. Those unfamiliar with the local driving environment are advised to engage the services of a reputable local transport company or utilise the Prague's extensive public transportation network.
