01/13/2018 (Argentina) - According to social media feeds on Friday, 12 January, unionised casino workers have demonstrated in front of the Mar de Plata Central Casino. Protests follow an announcement by the province governor Maria Eugenia Vidal regarding the imminent closure of three casinos in the city. Sources indicate that job cuts will come after the closure of the casinos.
Those in Mar de Plata are advised to avoid the vicinity of the aforementioned protest in order to avoid unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime and police crowd control operations.
