01/13/2018 (Bolivia) - According to emerging social media feeds on Saturday, 13 January, hundreds of protesters have gathered in the vicinity of the Rally Dakar Bivouac. Reports indicate that the crowd blocked the entrance of the camp disrupting the motor competition, which is currently traversing the country. Police forces have reportedly used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

Clients in country are advised to avoid the vicinity of the protests in order to lessen the chances of being affected by incidental violence and opportunistic crime. Travellers should monitor local media sources from any further information and heed any directives issued by the authorities.
