Militants Killed in Uruzgan Airstrikes

10/16/2017 (Afghanistan) - According to local media sources on Monday, 16 October, multiple Taliban militants have been killed after a 48 hour security operation led by Ministry of Defence airstrikes in Uruzgan province. Early reports indicate that civilians may have been injured during the raids.
Those in Uruzgan are advised to exercise a high level of caution given the current security situation. Operations within the province should only be undertaken with the strictest possible security risk management procedures in place. Clients should use a vetted security provider that offers close protection and emergency response services and closely liaise with local security forces.
