10/16/2017 (Azerbaijan) - According to reports from local media sources, anti-corruption demonstrators affiliated with the opposition political bloc, the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) are expected to stage a protest at the former Mehsul stadium, in the Yasamal district of Baku, on Saturday, 28 October. A prior demonstration organised by the same movement drew a crowd of approximately 3000 people in late September.
Those operating within Baku are advised to closely monitor protest related developments through local media and review overland travel arrangements should unrest lead to the blocking of regional travel routes. Clients are further advised to avoid the vicinity of associated protests in order to mitigate against exposure to unruly crowd behaviour and opportunistic crime.
