10/16/2017 (India) - Local media reports indicate that at least six people were killed on Monday, 16 October, when several adjoining residential buildings collapsed in the Ejipura area of Bengaluru. According to local authorities, the collapse is believed to have been the result of a cooking cylinder explosion. Rescue workers are reportedly clearing debris at the site amid fears that a nmber of residents may be buried under the rubble.

Those in Bengaluru should anticipate possible travel disruption in the Ejipura area of the city in the immediate term due to the ongoing emergency response and rescue operations. Travellers should monitor local media sources for further updates on the incident and any associated disruption.
